For our 4th Success Story, we met Paul Blanc, a shepherd in Bonneval-sur-Arc near Val d’Isère, to explore his extraordinary daily life.
Paul is one of the very first to use his LMX speed bike as a true utility vehicle, helping him monitor his flock of 80 sheeps and 100 lambs.
Living Among the Peaks
Paul lives and works in Bonneval-sur-Arc, a village located at the end of the Maurienne Valley in the Vanoise National Park, one of the most beautiful places in France, nestled in a stunning valley and surrounded by majestic mountains.
Every day, he balances his duties as both a shepherd and a farmer, a demanding job that requires constant vigilance and great mobility.
Summers are especially busy, with the need to monitor his flock, manage haymaking, and handle various agricultural tasks necessary to keep his land in good condition.
Paul is also responsible for ensuring the health and safety of his sheeps.
Not only do the frequent movements between different pastures require constant presence, but the care of the animals also demands the ability to react quickly in case of any issues.
The Impact of LMX Speed Bikes on His Daily Life
The arrival of the LMX 64 and LMX 56 has transformed Paul’s daily life.
Designed to handle challenging terrain, these bikes offer him exceptional mobility.
Where steep paths and rugged slopes once made traveling on foot or by traditional vehicles difficult, the LMX 56 speed bike now allows Paul to move quickly and efficiently.
With his speed bike, Paul can carry all the equipment he needs for his work.
He can transport heavy loads, up to 25-30 kg on his back, whether it’s tools for repairing fences, medical supplies for the animals, or food for his livestock.
This transport capacity is particularly valuable, as it frees him from logistical constraints.
Riding the LMX 56: Enhanced Vigilance Against Predators
The growing presence of predators in the region adds another layer of complexity to Paul’s work.
To protect his flock of sheep, he must be able to respond quickly to any threat. The LMX 56 gives him the advantage of close monitoring and rapid intervention, increasing the safety of his ewes and lambs.
Thanks to the LMX bikes’ range and durability, Paul can cover large distances without worrying about battery life.
Whether it’s for regular patrols or emergency interventions, the LMX provides him with the flexibility needed to effectively meet the challenges posed by nature and predators.
LMX Bikes: A Long-Term Partnership and Collaboration
“I came across this bike brand at the Val d’Isère Electric Show. I tried it out and thought: why not get back on a bike where I can pedal and accelerate? One with large wheels that can handle small ditches and clumps of dirt. […] I’m thrilled with it, and I haven’t looked back since.”
